About me

I teach English as a Second Language. I am  from Australia living and working in Athens Greece. I have been an English teacher in a private school for 25 years. I have taught children from the age of 5 till the age of 18 as well as young adults.

When teaching  children  I try to make my lessons as fun as possible. I use songs, current stories, games, Powerpoint to get them interested. Throughout my teaching years apart from teaching children the basic language I prepare and have prepared students for the FCE – ECCE (B1) certificate, CPE – ECPE (C2) certificates.

My duty is to teach each child the Grammar rules with enough examples to get them to understand.

In addition to this, each child is taught how to write letters and compositions(essays).

Moreover, there is conversation with each student about everyday and specialized topics.

Finally, as teacher and student we work together to get rid of any obstacles.

Now it is time to move on. I am promoting ONLINE lessons. There is nothing different to the classroom lesson. The slight difference is that the child and the teacher are sitting at home. Everything else is the same. Whatever the child does in the classroom it can do in front of the computer screen. Whatever the teacher writes the child sees and can write down notes or it could be saved. The child can see the teacher and visa versa using skype, ovoo, or google talk.

If you do not have any of these you just down load them, follow the instructions. When you are done you add a contact and then you can make you video call.

Also, for the student to be able to see what the teacher is writing, or for a student to use Powerpoint or IWB (interactive white board) exercises they will have to download teamviewer. Follow the instructions.

It is all FREE and EASY
